Divorce law advice

We can help you with any aspect of divorce. Whether you're married, in a civil partnership or going through a separation - our family law solicitors have the practical expertise and knowledge to help you get the best result for you and your family. You'll find us friendly and approachable, as well as very good at what we do.

Take a look at our guide to divorce in the UK which explains the process and divorce timeline.

Thinking of divorce but you don’t have a joint account? If you don’t have access to the family money we can help. It’s possible to organise for the legal fees to be paid by the person who does control the family finances.

In 2021 the Legal 500 said ‘Their key knowledge in family law and their work etiquette gives clients extra peace of mind. I was very relaxed when I went through the divorce and Tees Law definitely supported me the whole way. Updates were constantly given about the case and they went the extra mile at all times to make sure I understood the law. Brilliant company and they look after all their clients.'

How much does a divorce cost?

If you want a lawyer to take a closer look at your situation, for a fixed fee of £150 + VAT, we can talk with you for up to 90 minutes and set out some options.

You can book an initial consultation with Tees, if your combined assets as a family are over £500,000 or you have a combined family income of more than £80,000 a year.

In addition we offer alternatives to the traditional divorce process, which can be cheaper. Our experts are trained in: divorce mediation, arbitration and collaborative law.

I would like to express my thanks to TeesLaw but especially Francesca. I didn't give Francesca much time to deal with what I needed, however, the speed in which I received a full response was amazing. Francesca's help and support through what was a difficult period was always professional but more importantly, very caring and supportive. Thank you Francesca. I would highly recommend TeesLaw Cambridge.
