Associate - Litigation

We are looking to appoint an Associate to join our Dispute Resolution and Litigation team in our Chelmsford office.

We are looking for a driven Dispute Resolution and Litigation Associate to join us in our Chelmsford office.

This role will provide an excellent opportunity to work on independently on a strong caseload and collaborate with our senior team members and partners in developing the department, utilising their experience and knowledge, as you take the next steps in your career.

With 3 partners and 10 lawyers, you can be assured that our specialist knowledge and tactical and strategic ability provides the perfect environment for your next role. This role would be best suited to a Solicitor of at circa 6 years PQE with experience in contentious probate

As a Litigation Associate at Tees your role would include:

  • Acting for a mix of Claimants and Defendants, from obtaining initial instructions through to achieving a resolution to the dispute. Managing a complex caseload of client matters with limited supervision.
  • Advising clients on funding options available to them and on procedure and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Identifying opportunities to add value to clients and improve profitability by anticipating client needs and understanding client requirements. Offering cross referrals and other services.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team.
  • Undertaking advocacy, when cost effective, at all interlocutory stages.
  • Supporting the senior members of the team in their caseloads, including running their cases during periods of absence.
