Tees sponsors new Cambridge cycling initiative

Tees’ Cambridge team is delighted to be sponsoring Camcycle Quest this summer, a brand new cycling initiative from local charity, Camcycle, that will send participants on an exciting treasure hunt across the city.

Armed with a booklet containing a wide range of clues and objects to find around Cambridge, those who complete the pedal-powered quest (discovering unknown corners of the city in the process) will receive a certificate and be entered into a prize draw.

Cycling is already a huge part of life in Cambridge, but Camcycle aims to spread the love wider still, encouraging new people to take up cycling, promoting car-free summer holiday fun to families and building awareness of the city’s cycle routes and hidden corners.

Tees is well-known for its commitment to local sport and encouraging people to live healthy and active lifestyles. With previous sponsorships including Chelmsford’s children’s triathlon club and world champion triathlete Emma Deary, it’s clear that cycling is a cause the team is very much behind.

“Cycling is already very much a part of Cambridge’s identity,” says Janine Collier, Executive Partner at Tees. “However, any action that will encourage even more people to start using their bikes, especially with the environment and climate change now so high on the agenda, is highly deserving of support and we’re very happy to be sponsoring Camcycle Quest this summer.”

“We’re delighted to launch Camcycle Quest as a new celebration of Cambridge’s cycling culture and a way to invite more people to discover the joys of cycling,” says Roxanne De Beaux, Executive Director at Camcycle. “It’s great to be working with Tees, whose passion for promoting community activities makes them the ideal partner to help us make Camcycle Quest a success.”

Camcycle Quest will be launching in August, with quest guides available to buy at events and locations around Cambridge. Representatives from Tees will present prizes and certificates on Saturday 21 September at Camcycle’s Cargo Carnival on Lammas Land, part of the charity’s annual Cambridge Festival of Cycling.
