Tees team to rise to the London 10 Peaks Challenge

A team of determined solicitors, financial advisors and client care coordinators from Tees will be taking on the London 10 Peaks Challenge on 21 September 2019 to raise funds for Tees’ chosen charity, Mind.

Thirty-five members of staff, including representatives from all six offices, will be following a variation of the popular ‘London Loop’, trekking a marathon distance of 26 miles (42 km) and climbing over 600m as they scale 10 of London’s hidden ‘peaks’.

This isn’t the first time Tees have taken on a gruelling physical challenge in support of the charity; back in May, four Family Law solicitors conquered the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge and raised over £1,500 for Mind in the process.

Caroline Metcalf, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Tees and a Partner in the Bishop’s Stortford Dispute resolution & litigation department says “I couldn’t be happier that so many members of our team have signed up to take part, and are showing such willingness (and even excitement!) to take on the London 10 Peaks Challenge. Training walks are encouraging our team to bond and strenuous outdoor exercise in the fresh air is doing wonders for our mood and mental health.  It makes me proud to be part of a firm in which every member of staff truly cares about supporting and fundraising for this wonderful charity, which does such incredibly important work to help people all over the country who are struggling with mental health problems.”

Walking a marathon over varied terrain, including footpaths, urban roads, woodland and nature reserves, is no mean feat, and all those taking on the challenge are currently training hard to make sure they’re up to the task come September.

In their quest to make as much money as possible for Mind, the team are appealing to the generosity of the public and asking them to donate as much as possible towards their cause. To visit their Just Giving page, please go to: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/teestenmind
