Janine Collier wins ‘Woman Lawyer of the Year’ award

Janine Collier, Executive Partner and Co-Head of the Cambridge office at Tees, has won the Cambridge District Law Society’s ‘Woman Lawyer of the Year’ award.

The award, which recognises female solicitors who have achieved highly in their careers, whose work has benefited their business and society, and who have inspired others to pursue a legal career, was presented to Janine at a ceremony at Trinity Hall, Cambridge on Friday 22nd March.

Janine, who has for several years been listed as a ‘Leading Individual’ by the well-respected Legal 500 directory and is described as ‘intellectually sharp, personable and sensitive’, also heads up the firm’s top tier Medical Negligence team, having specialised in this area of law for many years.  A resident of Ely, Janine started working at Tees in 2006, working her way up to the position of Partner in 2015 and becoming an Executive Partner in 2016, a senior management position that sees her responsible for a team of 17. 

Speaking after being presented with her award, Janine said, “It is an honour and a privilege to have received this accolade, and it is wonderful to see that the excellence of women in the legal profession is now being increasingly recognised. I hope that the higher profile being enjoyed by female lawyers today will inspire more talented young women to pursue a career in this rewarding profession."
