Tees’ medical negligence partner Janine Collier has been named as the winner of this year’s Women in Law Award – Personal Injury.
The Women in Law Awards celebrate the achievements of female legal professionals that have influenced all levels of the legal sector across the globe in the last 12 months.
Janine’s award was presented by leading industry title Lawyer Monthly. Criteria for the judges included documented activity, size of cases, strategic thinking, peer recognition and planning, in addition to articles published.
Janine said: “It is an honour to win this award and a privilege to make a difference to the lives of clients who have been affected by personal injury and medical negligence, many of whom suffer devastating, life-changing injuries.”
Ashton Hunt, Group Managing Director of Tees, said “Janine is a fantastic medical negligence lawyer and this award is testament to her ability to achieve excellent outcomes for her clients. We are really proud that her talents have been recognised in this way.”
Janine has been practising medical negligence since qualification in 2001 and leads the Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury Team at Tees. The firm’s expert and approachable lawyers specialise in many areas of law including family, employment, probate and estate planning, residential conveyancing, commercial property and dispute resolution, as well as clinical negligence.
Tees has also been nominated for two accolades at this year’s prestigious LawCareers.Net (LCN) Training and Recruitment Awards, taking place next month (May). The law firm is up for Best Recruiter - Medium Regional Firm and Letty Glaister, Tees' Training Principal, has been nominated as Best Training Principal (small trainee intake). Letty oversees the recruitment of the firm's trainee solicitors and their progress during their two-year training contract.
