How can I help you?
I work in the Corporate and Commercial team based in Cambridge and lead for our not-for-profit sector. I have advised businesses and organisations since I graduated in September 2005 in relation to commercial, intellectual property and technology projects, frequently helping when they are going through significant transformation, growth and change. I then joined Tees Law in April 2021. I work with entrepreneurs, owner managed and family-run businesses and not for profit organisations in a range of sectors, including sport, media, culture and education.
Delivering what you really need
My previous experience also includes over five years working in business, supporting senior leadership on legal and non-legal issues, as well as managing in-house legal teams. I also gained Board level experience acting as a Director of a global business in addition to my legal role.
I am keen to apply my experience of having worked in-house, and the lessons I learned, in the way I help and work with clients. I value the opportunity of really understanding the strategic priorities of the clients I work with and finding pragmatic solutions. My work for the International Paralympic Committee and Cambridge University Press has not only given me a thorough understanding of the sport and publishing sectors, but also of the challenges facing in-house legal teams.
What else should you know?
I recently returned from living and working in Germany, although that did not improve my German. I spend most of my spare time chasing after my four children, or chasing after hockey balls after returning to play after a long break.
