My background and role makes me a little different from most people in Tees, which I believe adds strength to our leadership and management.
Before joining Tees, my only experience of a law firm was as a client. For over 25 years I have enjoyed a wide ranging career that has given me a wonderful insight into how to get the best out of a business.
For a large part of my career I worked in the Finance function of large companies such as British Gas and BT but over the last 10 years I have worked in Sales and Marketing and General Management, working both nationally and internationally. I have managed teams as large as 1,300 and as small as 5 and have always enjoyed working with people and seeing how we can work together to get the best out of each other.
With a background in service industries I know how important it is to always look at your business through the eyes of the customer. For Tees, we have always had a good reputation for how we work with our clients – always striving to really understand a client’s issues and providing real insight into how those issues can be best resolved. It’s my opportunity to further improve that and genuinely make working with Tees a very positive experience.
