One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is being able to help and support clients through challenging and/or distressing times such as the death of a loved one or concerns regarding the capacity of an elderly relation. I work hard to develop strong working relationships of trust and confidence with my clients and aim to deal with all matters efficiently and with empathy.

How can I help you?

I am a solicitor in the Wills, Trust, Tax and Probate department. My work includes advising on and preparing Wills; registering Enduring Powers of Attorney and Lasting Powers of Attorney; making Deputyship applications; the administration of both testate and intestate estates; estate planning including post death variations; the preparation of Declarations of Trust and other trust related work.

Delivering what you really need

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is being able to help and support clients through challenging and/or distressing times such as the death of a loved one or concerns regarding the capacity of an elderly relation. I work hard to develop strong working relationships of trust and confidence with my clients and aim to deal with all matters efficiently and with empathy.

I am committed to furthering my professional development and I am currently undertaking the training to become a Dementia Friend and the necessary training to become a member of the Solicitors for the Elderly.

What else you should know

I obtained an LLB Law Degree from the University of Exeter in 1996 before undertaking  the Legal Practice Course at the University in 1997.  I joined Tees Law as a trainee solicitor in 1997 and qualified as solicitor into the Litigation department in 1999.

Subsequent to this, I had some time away from the firm working as a Law Lecturer at the College of Law London on a number of their post graduate programmes before taking a career break to raise my three children. During this time I was involved in a number of voluntary positions including being a community mentor at a local secondary school and Chair of Governors at a local primary school. I continue to assist as a school governor and I am actively involved in the school’s recruitment process.

In May 2016 I was delighted to re-join Tees Law as part of  the Wills, Trusts, Tax and Probate team.
