I am an Associate Solicitor within the Medical Negligence team. I joined the firm in 2017 and qualified as a solicitor in 2019. The Medical Negligence team at Tees has many years of combined experience and our specialisms cover many different types of claims, including, but not limited to:
I understand that deciding to make a complaint about the treatment you or a loved one has received can feel overwhelming and daunting. I am committed to offering exceptional client service and will work with you to make the process as smooth as possible. I am very approachable and have a sympathetic approach. I will endeavour to provide you with clear advice from the outset and as your matter proceeds. I will keep you regularly updated and guide you through the process. As a department, we take a collaborative approach, so you also benefit from my colleague’s expertise to ensure you get the best outcome possible.
‘From the moment I met Janine and Sophie, I felt I could trust and rely on them to handle our case. Great support and advice, genuine care, compassion and understanding shown.’
‘Sophie Stuart, who handled the case from beginning to end, was very personable and took time to explain the process, potential risks and pitfalls. This gave me a great sense of relief and comfort as the case progressed.’

Tees provided excellent support, with Sophie Stuart and Tim Deeming going above and beyond. My family and I were very pleased with the result.

I have a law degree from the University of Sheffield and achieved a high distinction in my LPC and an MSc in Law, Business and Management from the University of Law. I undertook my training at Tees and spent a year with the medical negligence team. Before qualifying as a Solicitor, I was a teacher, teaching A-Level law and being an exam marker for the subject. Teaching is something that I enjoy, and I feel that it has provided me with a wealth of experience and skills and has helped me in my new career.
Outside of Tees, I love cycling and water sports and often spend my holidays cycling, wakeboarding, and sailing in North Wales. I have also spent time abroad as a waterski and wakeboard instructor. I have two children and a Hungarian Vizsla. I am a keen horse rider and have an ex-race horse called Twoie.
