Hear from some of our clients

Mrs Isabel Corbett

Preston

I just wanted to thank you for all your help in the purchase of our apartment. You and your team have made the process much more straight forward and knowing we had your knowledge and expertise behind us, has made our property purchase journey in France so much less stressful.  We appreciate everything you have done on our behalf.

Mr Hugh Birley

London

We have been clients of Tees all our lives, and my grandmother and great-grandfather before me. We have been looked after by the ever efficient Allan Wright, Cathy Izzard and Eleanor Worby and each of them have been efficient, effective, pleasant to deal with and unfazed by our own levels of disorganisation! Their support staff have always also been excellent.

Mrs Mary Pope

Gilston, Herts

Toni Chalmers-Smith and her colleagues define "where there's a will there's a way". Toni dealt with two separate financial problems and demonstrated tenacity, drive and an ability to think round problems and find solutions to deliver a result. Toni was able to resolve and deliver excellent financial solutions above and beyond the expectations of myself and my son. Toni and the team at Tees are a must for anyone considering financial advice.

Mr. D.

Bishop's Stortford

We would like to thank Abby Westell - her compassionate professionalism, wisdom and support is very much appreciated.

Mr T & Mrs N Smerdon

Huntingdon

Kieron was able to explain things to us in simple terms which we understood and even made pensions sound interesting!   You can tell that he loves what he does and really knows his stuff. He has a friendly approachable manner and we look forward to working with him again in the future.

Mr and Mrs W

Westcliff

Entrusting the accumulated wealth of a lifetime's endeavours is one of the most important decisions a person makes. In order to feel comfortable you need to trust the judgement of both the organisation and the individual taking care of your investments. Our experience with Tees allows us to feel confident that our money is in safe hands.

Mr and Mrs W

Woking

We have been very impressed by some of the foresight that Gavin has shown with regards to our finances. This was particularly the case with planning for pensions, in light of the new rules introduced by the government. He knew about the impact before we did and that is very impressive. We’ve been made to think about our approach to finance in a completely new way and Gavin was instrumental in this approach. Gavin and his team do so much of the heavy lifting with regards to the analysis of our finances, that when we see him it, is a simple and constructive meeting.

Peter Bottery

Saffron Walden

Before our discussions, I felt a bit like someone who had been parachuted into the middle of a minefield; after our discussions, I feel that at least I have been given a mine detector and a map!

Mr G

Bishop's Stortford

It was some 18 years ago now that you advised me on my divorce settlement and at the time we discussed options around suffering some early financial ‘pain’, at the expense of maintaining 100% of my pension. We decided on this approach and you did a great job countering barristers engaged by my then wife, to conclude a reasonable settlement for me at the Court in Harlow. How good your advice has turned out to be, now that me and my new wife can decide our future pension arrangements without any ‘external interference’. Thanks very much for your help and advice all those years ago - it has proven to be excellent!

Mr B

Cheshire

Over the last few years, as the boys have grown up and are making their own way in the world, I have often thought back to some of our conversations in 2007 and your wise words on future possibilities. As I approach retirement, I will be left with some choices to make on where to spend my time, but am in the fortunate position of being able to make those choices without financial pressure. Tees have continued to support me professionally - in the purchase of a flat with a tenancy issue, in my former home in Bishop’s Stortford.

Ms D

Bedfordshire

I was always very grateful that you predicted my husband’s unhelpful actions so correctly when we were divorcing, and suggested that we didn’t waste time messing around and just set a court date, so that he would have to comply with requests and do the form filling that he hates so much. I was able to take early retirement from school a couple of years ago, because of my independent pension. All in all, I still can’t thank you enough for all the help, advice and encouragement you gave me at the time of the divorce.  I always felt really safe that you would get the best settlement in the nicest possible way.

Alex and Jenny

Stevenage

We were going the through the most challenging appeal process to secure our daughter’s Education Health and Care Plan provision. I started to struggle with the overwhelming amount of paperwork and was struggling to construct the working document and started to look for legal advice. I met Polly and she helped me see the wood for the trees, helped with my many questions and put together a coherent working document which the Tribunal agreed almost all of, some minor detail aside. We’re thrilled with the outcome. Our daughter started a new school in September and she’s already had three of her weekly speech and language therapy sessions. Thank you Polly.

Anne M

Epping

I have been a client of George Rutt, and now Tees Financial for 50 years, and due to the excellent advice I have been given, I am in a very good financial position and look forward to a good retirement. I find Helen Prosser in particular, most helpful and easy to deal with.

V. Smyth

Bishop's Stortford

A huge thank you to Caroline. I know its not a huge amount of money to most people, but to me it was a fortune. I can't sing your praises high enough or thank you enough. I honestly never thought I would ever see any of my money again. When I told my children last night the first thing they said was "what a wonderful solicitor to have." I'm so very grateful and very happy. You are a real lifesaver.
