How can I help you?
I qualified into the Commercial Property team in September 2017, having joined Tees in September 2015 as a trainee and completing my training contract. Prior to joining Tees I studied Law at the University of East Anglia and achieved a commendation in my Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in Cambridge, completing electives in Advanced Commercial Property, Employment and Commercial Law and Intellectual Property.
Delivering what you really need
During my first seat at Tees I worked in the Commercial Property department in the Cambridge office. During my time in this seat I had dealings both with companies and individuals, assisting all team members in every aspect of their work as well as taking the lead on some of my own matters.
In my second seat I assisted in both the Company Commercial and Employment departments. By working between these two departments I had access to a wealth of knowledge and experience from my supervisors and assisted in a broad range of matters from company acquisitions to drafting settlement agreements.
In my third seat I worked in the Wills, Trust, Tax and Probate department in the Bishop’s Stortford office, headed by Cathy Izzard. The WTTP department is at the heart of Tees and spending time in this department and dealing with matters personal to clients is an invaluable experience.
For my fourth of four seats and, continuing through qualification, I returned to the Commercial Property department. I split my time across the Cambridge and Bishop’s Stortford offices and this gives me great exposure to a wide variety of work and clients.
I have a wide range of experience in Commercial Property, including landlord and tenant, sales and acquisitions, corporate support and refinancing together with development and a number of agricultural transactions.
What else should you know?
Outside of the office I enjoy a variety of sports including tennis, cycling and shooting. I am currently studying for a Master’s Degree in business from the BPP University in Cambridge.
I am a member of the Cambridgeshire and District Law Society and regularly contribute property-related matters for publication within their magazine “Light Blue”.
