I joined Tees in September 2021 and after two years of training, I qualified as a solicitor in September 2023. I work alongside Polly Kerr acting for and advising schools and parents in educational matters – both contentious and non-contentious, in reputational risk management (defamation) and have acted in commercial and civil disputes.

The Dispute Resolution and Litigation Team at Tees offers a depth of experience. As a member of this team, we leverage each other's expertise to deliver comprehensive services to our clients. With the flexibility to meet clients at any of our six offices and utilise video conferencing facilities, we've streamlined client accessibility. Furthermore, our litigation team maintains strong collaborations with colleagues across Tees' various departments, ensuring seamless integration of their skills whenever needed.
What else should you know?
I graduated in 2017 from the University of Exeter with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in English Literature.
Following this I studied the Graduate Diploma in Law and then the Legal Practice Course achieving a high Distinction in 2021.
My interest in the law arose from a few sources. I come from a farming background and am an active partner in my family's arable farm. As a farming family, we have had cause to instruct solicitors in many different areas from Wills and Trusts to Residential Property. I know the importance to any business of building a team of trusted advisers.
My younger brother is disabled, and we spent many years engaged in litigation to secure an adequate education for him. I began my legal career working in a firm which specialised in SEN and disability law. It was here that I developed my passion for the law and for representing my client’s best interests at all times.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, painting and writing.
