How can I help you?

I specialise in Wills, Trusts, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Deputyship and property matters connected to those from our office in Saffron Walden, which covers the towns and villages in Uttlesford, South Cambs and East Herts. I can take instructions using video conferencing, and also home visits when you cannot make it into the office for mobility reasons. I qualified as a solicitor in 2006, qualified as STEP (full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) in 2016, and have been at Tees (previously Tees incorporating Wortley Byers in Brentwood) for over 12 years. I am a Senior Associate in our Private Client Department and made the move to Saffron Walden in January 2020 but have been a local resident there for many years.

I started assisting with Private Client matters back in 2004 and have primarily dealt with Private Client matters since 2012. I also worked for several years before that in commercial property until 2012 and in residential property until more recently. This broad base of experience acting for landlords, developers, companies and individuals proves invaluable in assisting my clients where property matters touch on trusts, probate, wills, and when advising attorneys and deputies.

Delivering what you really need

I support my clients at difficult times after the loss of a loved one, by dealing with their estates. I help them create and administer trusts; prepare LPAs for potential incapacity and advise on and draft deputyship applications. I draft their wills and codicils and give inheritance tax and CGT advice on their lifetime giving, trusts or estates. I have particular expertise in land and buildings matters relating to estates or trusts and helping the executors when dealing with the other beneficiaries.

What else should you know?

Before working locally in Saffron Walden, I spent many years working in Brentwood and before that in Central London and in Hornchurch. I spent one year studying international and comparative law whilst living in the Netherlands, in between University, and like to travel.
