As part of the residential conveyancing team, my primary responsibility is to manage post property sale and purchase transactions, re-mortgages and transfers of equity. My duties include: advising clients on the post exchange and completion matters for buying and selling a property; ensuring that transfer deeds are signed and ensuring funds are in place for completion.
I will redeem old mortgages and arrange for them to be removed from the Land Registry; account to clients for any surplus monies; pay estate agents and Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT); arrange to register buyers new names and if the property being purchased is leasehold ensure that details of the Buyer have been given to the Landlord.
