How can I help you?
I started with Tees as a trainee solicitor in 2001, qualifying in 2003 and have worked as a Wills Trusts Tax and Probate lawyer ever since. I became a Partner in 2011, before moving to consultant in 2014 and rejoined the partnership in 2020. I specialise in working with, and understanding the needs of both wealthy and elderly clients. I help by offering capital tax planning advice and guidance to those who wish to provide for their and their family's futures. I have extensive experience in dealing with clients in later life and of working with those diagnosed with the onset of dementia. I help to structure a framework which gives confidence and reassurance that their affairs will be dealt with appropriately going forward. I administer a range of estates and regularly act as a professional trustee including for large charitable trusts.
Delivering what you really need
Having been born and brought up in Hertfordshire, as part of the local rural community, I particularly understand the needs of farmers and the challenges they currently face. It helps me deliver the solutions farmers really need. It also means I am continuing the long tradition Tees has for acting for wealthy individuals and farming families, whose complex financial and personal circumstances require an extremely sensitive and creative approach to achieve successful outcomes which balance the varying needs of the generations.
For the elderly and those facing early onset dementia it can be a very worrying time but my clients tell me that I provide confidence in a safe and secure environment.
Working at Tees places me in the great position of being able to work in conjunction with Tees Financial and our own team of specialist tax accountants to provide a uniquely complete analysis of your assets and deliver the most appropriate and financially sound succession plan for you and your family without needing to seek additional external help.
It is apparent from our testimonials that we do provide our clients with a level of service and legal knowledge that is second to none.
What else should you know?
In September 2012 I successfully became a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, the foremost professional body in this field. I am also a member of the Law Society's Private Client Section.
Outside the office I am an active committee member of the Hertfordshire branch of the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust, organising and participating in fundraising events. I am a member of the British Association for Shooting & Conservation and enjoy rural pursuits.
