We are looking to appoint a French speaking Legal Assistant to join our Private Client team in our Bishop's Stortford office.


We are looking for a French speaking Legal Assistant to join the Private Client team in our Bishop's Stortford Office. In this role you will be working closely with Herve Blatry, Avocat and other professional specialists and liaising with clients. This, alongside the prospect of working in a supportive but challenging environment with established industry experts, offers an ideal opportunity to play a major role within an exciting, progressive law firm with great career prospects. 

As a French speaking Legal Assistant, your role would include: 

  • Assisting with new enquiries and files being opened.

  • Assisting lawyers with progression of files including: contacting French Notaire, sourcing a French Notaire if necessary, collating documents and information required, arranging for translations, applying for Apostilles from Foreign and Commonwealth office.

  • Correspondence with other institutions such as agents/banks in France to advance matters.

  • Making calls to clients, monitoring or acting on client e-mails and post.

  • Assisting with photocopying, scanning and filing and file closure.
