Tees Law ranked in 26 practice areas in Legal 500

Tees Law enjoyed widespread success in this year’s Legal 500 directory, ascending the ranks in five practice areas and achieving five Tier 1 rankings.

In total, 26 different Tees Law departments were ranked in the latest update of the world’s leading directory of Law Firms, three more than in 2021.

Individual achievers included Nicola Havers and Sarah Walker, joint Heads of Wills, Trusts, Tax and Probate, who were both named as Next Generation Partners. Their Tier 1 department was described as “friendly and approachable”, as well as “extremely capable”. Nicola was lauded for her “emotional intelligence” and “exceptional ability to deliver practical and understandable solutions to complex family situations”, while Sarah was commended for having “a mastery of her subject” and responding to all questions “clearly and concisely”.

Tees Law was delighted to see all its Leading Individuals (the directory’s top accolade for highly skilled and experienced lawyers) and Rising Stars maintained this year. A total of 11 solicitors ranked as Leading Individuals, including Sara Stabler, Head of Contentious Trusts and Probate, who impressed with “her knowledge of the area, her thinking on the matter and her well written correspondence”.

Indeed, experience is a recurring cause for praise across departments. “The Tees private client team has helped my family over three generations. I would recommend Tees to every family in need of advice on trusts, tax, succession and estate planning.

Likewise, Tees Law’s Tier 1 Commercial Property team, headed by Aaron Cane, was celebrated for its consistency: “I have used Tees Law and its derivatives for 45 years. There has always been a personal element even now when it has grown to become a large practice. There has always been a feeling that there is a person with expertise in the field I needed working on.

Commenting on this year’s results, the Group Managing Director at Tees Law, Ashton Hunt, said: “I’m delighted to see such strong results across the board in this year’s Legal 500, in particular the recognition of three new departments. It was especially pleasing to see so many glowing reviews of our solicitors’ personal care and the value their experience and knowledge brings to so many people.

Catherine Mowat, Senior Partner at Tees Law added: “This year’s results are a true reflection of the dedication and growth of our team. I would like to thank all of our clients and referrers for their wonderful feedback.
