How can I help you?
I am an associate in the Medical Negligence team, and have experience in a wide variety of cases including:
- Orthopaedic claims
- Delay in diagnosis and treatment, of cancer in particular
- Elderly care
- Brain injury in adults and children
Delivering what you really need
Taking the initial steps towards bringing a clinical negligence claim can seem intimidating. Your situation may involve ongoing physical, emotional, mental and financial difficulties. I aim to provide clear advice to help you understand the process, the next steps to take, and what outcome you may expect. I appreciate that the legal aspects of a claim are complicated, and will guide you through the legal jargon to ensure you are kept fully updated every step of the way.
I understand the importance of listening carefully to your individual concerns and what you hope to achieve. This may include a formal apology, ongoing rehabilitation or security for the future as well as financial compensation. I appreciate that you may have individual needs and am happy to work flexibly to ensure the process is as stress-free as possible. As a department we take a teamwork-led approach to cases, so you can be confident that you are benefiting from many years of experience whilst keeping incurred costs proportionate.
What else should you know?
I joined the Medical Negligence team as a qualified solicitor on 1 September 2017, after spending the final seat of my training contract here since. I carried out my training contract at Tees in 2015, having completed the LPC, GDL and a history degree.
