Machela Boampong

Solicitor, Dispute Resolution and Litigation

How can I help you?

I qualified as a solicitor in October 2023 and joined Tees in July 2024.

Although recently qualified, I have extensive experience in dealing with education related matters. Before joining Tees, I worked at Coram Children’s Legal Centre (as a paralegal and then solicitor) and worked as part of their education team since July 2018.

I have experience and have advised in respect of:

  • Special Educational Needs, including needs assessments, Education Health and Care Plans, statutory provision and appeals to the First Tier Tribunal.
  • Disability Discrimination in the First Tier Tribunal
  • Judicial Review claims in relation to Education Health and Care Plans.

As a team, the litigation department are able to provide you with a bespoke approach to suit your needs. We are a diverse group, with a range of experience from which we can draw on to provide the best possible experience for our clients.

What else should you know

Having completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in The Netherlands, I attained my LLB Law Degree from the University of Essex followed by an LLM in International Human Rights Law in 2017. I speak three languages, English, Dutch and Twi.
