Delivering what you really need
I understand that deciding to make a complaint about the treatment you, or a loved one has received can feel overwhelming. I will work with you to make the process as smooth as possible. I am very approachable and have a sympathetic approach. I will make sure to identify your objectives, whether that be an apology, financial compensation or a change in procedure from the health service provider and then seek to achieve those objectives. I will endeavour to provide you with clear advice from the outset and as your matter proceeds. I will ensure that you are kept regularly updated and guide you through the process. As a department we are very collaborative so you also get the benefit of my colleagues if they have specialist knowledge of your matter to ensure you get the best outcome possible.
Feedback from clients.
“From the moment I met Janine and Sophie I felt I could trust and rely on them to handle our case. Great support and advice, genuine care, compassion and understanding shown.”
What else should you know?
Prior to qualifying as a Solicitor I was a teacher, teaching A-Level law, as well as being an exam marker for the subject. Teaching is something that I enjoyed and feel that it has provided me with a wealth of experience and skills and has helped me in my new career. I have a law degree from the University of Sheffield and achieved a high distinction in my LPC as well as having an MSc in Law, Business and Management from the University of Law. I undertook my training at Tees and spent a year with the medical negligence team.
Outside of Tees I love cycling and water sports and often spend my holidays cycling, wakeboarding and sailing in North Wales. I have spent time abroad as a water-ski and wakeboard instructor. I am also a keen horse rider and have an ex-racehorse called Twoie.
