How can I help you?
I joined Tees as a partner in September 2018, I qualified in September 2001 and specialise in family and divorce law.
My cases cover all aspects of family law including divorce and separation, financial issues, children, nuptial agreements and cohabitation cases.
My clients are often going through very challenging personal situations – my focus is on securing favourable, and practical solutions for my clients following the breakdown of their relationship. You can read about our divorce services in Cambridge here.
Delivering what you really need
I always put the needs of my clients first. I will listen to you and what you need out of the process, so that I can advise on the right way to move forward in your individual circumstances.
My areas of expertise include:
- The financial effects of separation or divorce: the financial implications of divorce can be complex, such as splitting or protecting pensions and business interests. I help my clients protect their interests and always aim to secure the best possible result in their circumstances
- Arrangements for children after divorce/separation: I advise on arrangements for children after separation to make sure that the family’s needs can be in the best interests of the children
- Legal advice before getting married, and legal advice for unmarried couples: I can advise on relationship issues prior to marriage, including prenuptial (and post nuptial) agreements and cohabitation agreements.
I specialise in family mediation – an alternative to traditional divorce proceedings. Mediation encourages communication between divorcing couples, under the guidance of a specialist mediation solicitor. I have experience advising couples through the mediation process, towards a cost-effective settlement agreement which works for both parties.
As a family mediator and collaborative solicitor, I can advise on the best route to take if you are considering divorce proceedings.
What else should you know?
I am a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association).
In addition, I am a collaborative solicitor. In collaborative divorce, matters around the separation are discussed in meetings with the other solicitor and resolved through agreement.
I am also a member of the Family Mediation Council, which shows that I promote collaborative working between parents following separation.
