How can I help you?
If I were looking for a family lawyer, I’d want someone who was calm, clear, assuring, knowledgeable and responsive - and I, therefore, take this into account when advising my clients.
Having worked in family law for over a decade, I have a wide range of experience, but my particular specialisms are divorce, financial settlements, nuptial agreements, cohabitation disputes and resolving disputes regarding child arrangements.
My focus is on trying to provide favourable, practical and cost-effective outcomes. I endeavour to manage expectations at an early stage so that clients are clear from the outset as to the processes, timeframes and costs involved. I develop a strategy with my clients as early in the process as possible to try and achieve their desired goals.
Delivering what you really need
Training & employment experience
I studied Law at the University of Sheffield and then moved straight on to my Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London. I then undertook a training contract at a firm in Cambridge, following which I worked in a number of different law firms. Most recently, prior to joining Tees, I worked as a Partner at a national law firm. Since qualifying in 2013, I have worked solely in family law.
I always prioritise the needs of my clients. I listen very carefully to instructions at the outset and carry out clients’ wishes efficiently and effectively. I acknowledge that my clients are often going through incredibly difficult times in their lives and therefore need clear, concise and honest advice.
I am also a keen sport enthusiast in my spare time, particularly football and cricket which I enjoy both watching and playing.
What else should you know?
I joined Tees in October 2022, having worked in Hertfordshire as a Partner at a national specialist family law practice previously. Whilst I am based in the Bishop’s Stortford office, I am available to meet clients in other locations – or by video call.
From a personal perspective, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching or playing sport (although the former has curtailed the latter in recent years).
