I initially worked for Wortley Byers as a legal secretary for many years before Wortley Byers merged with Tees. Since the merger, I completed paralegal training with a focus on Wills and Probate. As a result of my qualifications, I now work as an assistant to lawyers in relation to Wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney and probate matters.
I am often the first point of contact for initial enquiries. I would say the most rewarding part of my job is when I hear a potential client say that they now feel the task ahead is achievable, that they feel much better about their situation which may be a particularly challenging period of their life and that they feel supported in the days ahead.
Outside of work I enjoy watching and taking part in sport. I have participated in many UK and European marathons, including the prestigious London Marathon. Although I would say watching is much easier.
