I pride myself on being able to quickly recognise an individual client’s priorities and tailoring my approach to suit you and your family. I feel that the number of recommendations I receive from previous clients is testament to the personal service I am able to provide. The most rewarding part of my job is definitely when clients get back in touch with me, sometimes years down the line, to let me know how positively they have moved forward with the next stage of their lives.

How can I help you?

I am a solicitor specialising in family law.  I recognise that any relationship breakdown, particularly if children are involved, is a difficult and stressful time for those involved.  I pride myself on listening to and understanding your needs, working with you to achieve the best possible outcome.

I advise on child arrangements resulting from a change in family circumstances, often involving serious safeguarding issues such as domestic abuse.  I have a particular interest in applications for children to be relocated (internally or abroad).   I regularly represent grandparents seeking for their grandchildren to live with or spend time with them.

I advise on the financial implications of ending a relationship, protecting assets of high net worth individuals and finding practical solutions to help lower/middle-income families stabilise their financial positions.

I am collaboratively trained, a method of resolving issues where you commit to reaching an amicable resolution without involving the Court.

Delivering what you really need

Whether advising on disputes involving children or financial matters arising from a relationship breakdown, I am committed to resolving your family issues as amicably and cost-effectively as possible.  I recognise that you not only need an experienced lawyer to advise you but someone who is compassionate and supportive when you are faced with anxious times.

I think it is so important to not just consider your current circumstances, but look to secure your future by advising you on solutions which will work for you and your family in the long-term.  I strive to be clear and succinct in my communications with you and to ensure that you are kept fully informed and up-to-date with how things are progressing on a regular basis.  I aim to be as flexible as possible so that we can work together at a pace which is comfortable for you.

My experience in family law includes resolving issues without the intervention of the Court.  I am trained in collaborative practice and also have experience of using mediation and arbitration.  However, I recognise that it is not always possible to resolve family issues without involving the Court.  Where contested proceedings are instigated, I have extensive experience to draw on when advising you and supporting you through the Court process.

I work closely with colleagues and other teams within Tees.  I am able to draw on their expertise where appropriate to ensure you receive detailed, accurate legal advice in relation to any other areas of law which may arise while we are working together.
