How can I help you?
I joined Tees in March 2021 as a paralegal in the Medical Negligence Team at the Bishop’s Stortford office. In this role I primarily provide support to my senior colleagues in a wide variety of medical negligence claims to help them ensure the best outcomes for clients.
Delivering what you really need
I understand that the damage caused by medical negligence often goes much further than the initial injury; the experience can be just as damaging psychologically as it is physically. This can make bringing a claim quite a daunting prospect. I hope to make clients feel supported throughout the process.
By listening to clients, really understanding what they have been through and discussing their specific concerns and needs, I hope to aid them in the process of recovering from their ordeal. I appreciate that often no amount of compensation will be sufficient to make amends for their suffering, but sometimes having their experience acknowledged and addressed can be a start to their recovery.
What else should you know?
In 2019 I graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in Law. After this I took a year out to consider my career goals and motivations. During this time, I worked in a bakery, and helped to run my family’s property business. I realised that my primary motivation for working in law was my desire to help people, and I was delighted when I was offered the opportunity to do so in the Medical Negligence department at Tees.
In my spare time I enjoy baking, reading, experimenting with coding challenges, and learning about the stock market. I am learning to speak Italian which I hope to be able to use when travelling. I also enjoy hiking and spent a lot of time exploring the Devon countryside while doing my degree. I am looking forward to exploring the trails around Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire when I move closer to the office in May.
